We cancelled our satellite and only use netflix and what is available online through the TV networks websites. Not only is it soooo much cheaper, but we find we are much less likely to just sit and watch 'whatever's on'. When we watch something we are much more careful about it and end up watching less TV overall. We also find without all the commercials and by being more choosy about what we're watching we are bombarded with less of the inappropriate stuff that is on TV.

Yeah, our TV doesn't pick up any stations at the moment. We would have to purchase an external antenna to pick up any stations since the reception of broadcast over the air TV is so poor in our area.

You mean we have cut costs by not having TV at all since we would have to first buy a satellite to get any stations...much less cable.
